Our Vision
The vision of the International Fellowship is to have a multi-ethnic body of believers in Christ making disciples who make disciples both here and around the world. We do this by meeting people where they are at and helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Core Values
“Core Values” are the Biblical beliefs that govern and determine our actions and behavior. International Fellowship holds these core values:
Love – We will love God and love others (Matthew 22:34-40).
Relationships – We will intentionally develop relationships that are strong and lasting (Philippians 2:4).
Community – We will live and serve in community together (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Truth – We will hold Biblical truth as our standard for life and practice (John 8:32; 17:17; 2 Corinthians 13:8).
Unity in Diversity – We will treasure each other’s differences and dwell together in one Spirit (Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:4-30).
Phillip Lyons
TEACHING PASTOR/CHURCH PLANTER
Phillip met Teresa while attending Carson-Newman College and married her May 11, 1985. They have 6 children – 3 boys, 3 girls, and a daughter-in-love – Zac and his wife Amanda, Aletha, Kara Beth, Farris, Jonathan, and Brianna.
Phillip has served churches in music, youth, and pastoral ministries. He was ordained into the gospel ministry in 1986. Phillip served as pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hernando, MS from 1990 to 1998. They served as church planting missionaries in West Africa with the International Mission Board from 1998 to 2012.
Phillip enjoys sports, outdoors, woodworking, handyman projects, reading biographies, and spending time with family and friends.
