There is only one true and living God who is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe.  He reveals Himself as the eternally existent Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with distinct personal attributes yet without any difference in nature, essence, or being.  The Father is the head of the Godhead, and the kingdom shall be delivered to him.  Jesus is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, the promised Messiah, born into this world of the virgin Mary.  Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for humankind, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended into heaven where he intercedes for us, and will one day return in bodily, visible form to overthrow sin and judge the world.  The Holy Spirit is the fully divine Spirit of God, the one sent from God to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, of judgment, and to regenerate and cleanse from sin. The Spirit baptizes, seals and indwells every believer at the moment of salvation and teaches, guides, comforts, empowers, and develops the character of Christ in believers as they are filled with and walk in the Holy Spirit.  The Spirit also distributes to believers spiritual gifts that are used to build up the body of Christ (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 66:7; Daniel 4:17, 32; Isaiah 45:5-12, 21; 1 Corinthians 15:24; 1 Timothy 2:5; 2 Peter 1:17; John 1:1, 5:17, 8:58, 10:30-39, 20:28; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:1-14; Revelation 1:8; John 14:16-17; Acts 5:3-4; Hebrews 9:14; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17; Revelation 19:6)

Satan is a personal devil who with his angels carries on the work of evil in this world. Sin is basically rebellion against God, and the end of sin is eternal separation from God (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-15; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:15; Matthew 8:16, 29; 10:1; Mark 1:27; Luke 11:20; 1 Peter 5:8; 2 Corinthians 4:4; 11:14-15; 1 Timothy 4:1; 1 John 4:4; Revelation 12:4-9; 1 John 3:4).

The Holy Spirit immediately places all people who put their faith in Jesus Christ into one united spiritual body, the Church, of which Christ is the head.  The church is also expressed in local autonomous bodies of believers in Christ who covenant together to follow the teachings of the New Testament in doctrine, worship, and practice. It is the function of the Church to fulfill the Great Commission until Christ returns.  The only two church ordinances are baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which are symbols of salvation. Only those who have believed in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior should be baptized, and immersion is the only Biblical mode of baptism. (Matthew 16:13-19, 28:16-20; Acts 2:42-47, 9:31, 20:28; 1 Corinthians 11:17-12:31; Ephesians 2:19-20; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Peter 2:9-10; Revelation 2-3).

Angels are real spirits created by God.  They continually worship and serve God and also minister to believers. Satan and demons are fallen angels.  However, Jesus defeated Satan on the cross and believers have authority over him today (Genesis 3; Isaiah 6; Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19; Ephesians 6:10-18; Hebrews 1; 1 Peter 5:8; 2 Peter 2:4; 1 John 3:8; Jude 6; Revelation 12).

God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society.  Marriage is the unity of one man and one woman in covenant relationship for a lifetime.  The husband and the wife are equal before God, since both are created in God’s image.  A husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it.  He has a God-given responsibility to provide, to protect, and to lead his family.  A wife is to submit herself graciously and voluntarily to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ.  In other words husbands and wives are equal persons with distinct, God-given roles.  They are to work together to manage the household and nurture the next generation.  Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord.  Parents are to raise their children with a godly example, loving discipline, wise teaching, and proper affection.  Children are to honor and obey their parents (Genesis 1:26-28, 2:15-25, 3:1-20; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Psalm 127, 139:13-16; Malachi 2:14-16; Ephesians 5:21-33, 6:1-4; Colossians 3:18-21; Titus 2:3-5; 1 Peter 3:1-7).
